I am currently hand feeding 2 awesome White-Capped Pionus Parrot babies hatched 9/17 and 9/21/12. These make fantastic pets and are one of the better "apartment" breeds due to their quieter nature compared to most parrots. They have awesome talking ability (I have one that talks more than my African Grey!!) and they are generally not a quick to bite bird so they fit in well with families. Of course any parrot needs to be supervised with children. The WC Pionus could keep you entertained for hours with its antics and conversation. They love attention too!! Not to brag but my babies are more than typically outgoing and friendly being raised in a home setting with plenty of socializing with all ages of people, other birds and dogs.
