Our client is growing and further developing their engineering staff. They need to add a Mechanical Engineer who will help them develop their generator based products. At the direction of the Engineering Manager you will research, plan and design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems. Our client is within commuting distance of Oshkosh. This is a great area to raise a family.
Requirements:
BS Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of equipment development experience, generator powered equipment is a plus
3D CAD experience, SolidWorks preferred
Strong project management, analytical, communication and troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of diesel engines, sheet metal structure and electrical systems
Ability to read blueprints, circuitry and wiring diagrams
Good PC
Good people and team skills
Duties:
Primarily you will research, plan and design generator based products in a team environment using SolidWorks. This will be based on the needs and requirement of customers
This will include designing products or systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic or heat transfer systems
Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods
Plan and direct engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems
Select raw materials and components and develop cost estimates based on specifications
