Ministry Health Care is looking to add a Casual Patient Service Representative do our Outpatient Rehab team in Appleton, WI! This is a casual position that will work on an as needed basis with no guarantee of hours. The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is involved in direct patient service and staff contact. Duties include answering the telephone, scheduling patient appointments, and assisting other staff members. The scheduling application is utilized to update patient demographics and appointment information, maintain provider schedules, and generate letters. All interactions are handled in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner, reflecting the caring and positive image of Affinity Health System. In this role you will, Distribute and collect forms. Collect payments, if applicable. Request charts for upcoming appointments and for telephone messages. Edit template changes to providers' schedules. Queue and send patient correspondence, including appointment reminders, and result notifications letters. Run daily reports. Insurance verifications Utilize Meditech for appointment scheduling High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum 1 year clerical experience required Word processing and computer experience is required Experience Working in health care setting and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Meditech experience preferred. Ability to make sound and timely decisions while working under stressful situations with frequent interruptions and distractions. Knowledge of billing principles and various health insurance coverage plans is preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
