Join the Leader in the Power Industry : Generac Power Systems Our facility located in Oshkosh, WI is seeking an Operational Excellence (OPEX) Manager to join our growing Global Operations Team
The OPEX Manager is an integral business partner providing leadership to ensure ongoing process improvement initiatives that deliver excellence across the entire value chain. In this high visible position you are responsible for developing, leading and implementing the GENERAC Fulfillment System (GFS) that drive Speed:to:Scale Efficiency and Extract Value Chain Expenses.
The successful candidate will have a prior history in coordinating and leading facility resources and employees to meet or exceed company business objectives. Your hands:on approach will allow you to organize strategic initiatives and utilize enterprise standards to support a demand driven philosophy and approach across the entire value chain. You will ensure ongoing success of process improvement initiatives by implementing policies, procedures and process documentation related to safety, quality and continuous improvement directives. Your strong leadership abilities allows for leading, coaching and developing a high performing team of operations support leaders. This position will need to work closely with cross:functional teams including HR, Finance, IT, SGS, and Engineering.
Success in this role will be defined by the step function improvements and process capabilities for sustained excellence.
Key duties:
Executes and leads highly complex multi:year, multi:discipline, best practice strategic operational projects
Responsible for designing, leading, training, coaching and implementation of GENERAC Fulfillment System (GFS) across Order:to:Cash process (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver and Service)
Responsible leading and coordinating the successful launch of New Product Introductions (NPI) within operations
Responsible for full facility transformation, technology transfer and ongoing maintenance of mixed model lines or value streams. Recognized expert in demand flow principles and GENERAC Fulfillment System (GFS)
Execute a multi:year quality improvement plan for the facility to climb the value chain from Quality Control to Quality Assurance to Excellence.
Sets the quality expectations of the organization to satisfy the requirements of our customers.
Drives down total value chain expense with the use of quality goals, performance metrics and improvement initiatives.
Oversees, directs and assigns activities and responsibilities that ensure the highest level of operating standards regarding facility appearance/ cleanness/orderliness and Environmental, Health and Safety
Drives facility operations priorities to meet or exceed customer expectations, meet goals identified through SMART goal deployment, achieve KPI's and maximize employee contribution and development.
Deploys demand driven principals and strategies that supports operational excellence and long range plans. (Flexibility, Speed and Responsiveness)
Trains, develops, motivates, monitors and leads a team of people to achieve established SMART goals and objectives. This position must develop talent and leaders for growth within the company.
Oversees deployment of standard Generac tools, methodologies, standards, practices and processes.
Directs efforts and objectives to include safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction and fulfillment needs.
