Position Purpose: This position supports SAP Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes in order to improve and maintain timeliness and quality of data. Creates, maintains, updates, and analyzes SAP master data within their area of responsibility. Provides electronic document exchange support in a variety of transmission formats. Provides a centralized, key role in the successful interaction between the workstreams and regions. Customers: Key customers consist of employees throughout the organization who are dependent on the item and vendor masters to support RTC, P2P or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) processes. This includes, but is not limited to Category Managers, Requisitioners, Planners, Material Coordinators, accounting personnel, contract manufacturers and global manufacturer requestors of assigned material, equipment and services within business units. Expectations: Enable purchasing automation with proper table maintenance and monitoring PO output. Assure integrity of vendor master and material master data. Supports electronic document exchange in a variety of transmission formats. Subject-matter-expert in one or more business processes within Procurement. This role functions independently with minimal supervision, has contact with many functions, roles, and levels across the organization, is required to demonstrate problem solving and analytical capabilities to investigate root cause of various issues and provide resolution. Scope: . Supports electronic document exchange in a variety of transmission formats. . Manage SAP tables to support Procurement automation, monitor PO output and resolve failed transactions . Identify systems opportunities and implement solutions for further PO automation . Define relevant descriptive data for assigned commodities. . Understand customer needs and provides customer service to all customers. . Uses available resources to resolve customer questions and needs professionally. . Demonstrates a working knowledge of applicable K-C policies, procedures, related governmental laws and regulations and implement continuous improvements to same. . Reports to the Procurement Systems Manager Dimensions: Approximately 100 procurement professionals are directly supported by this position. Approximately xxxx suppliers are affected by PO automation activities. Another 500 customers across all regions, globally for Manufacturer table support. Information and services provided by this position are used to support ongoing management of approximately $8.3 billion dollars purchasing spend. Accountabilities: 1. Provide electronic document exchange support in a variety of transmission formats. Manage Purchasing System data bases as assigned to ensure accuracy and functionality in all areas of assigned responsibility. Recommend data base changes to improve efficiency or otherwise contribute to cost reduction. 2. Provide system information through reports and analysis which supports buyer and other customer effectiveness. Perform data validation activities to ensure accuracy and functionality in all areas of assigned responsibility. 3. Challenge existing practices and make recommendations concerning improvements to standardizing and streamlining processes, improving team effectiveness, provide information for managerial decision making, and organize data to fulfill support requirements. 4. Monitor performance indicators/metrics for data within their area of responsibility and regularly report status to the Procurement Systems Manager. Investigate and initiate appropriate corrective action as required in their area of responsibility. 5. Participate in projects and initiatives to develop and refine system enhancements, data processes and metrics, including executing test scripts to support new functionality and system upgrades. 6. Develop documentation and training, and maintain a high level of Vendor Master Data process related SAP expertise in order to identify process and system improvements for short and long term implementation. 7. Lead members of the RTC Center of Excellence in special projects related to Vendor Master, PO automation and PO output. 8. Basic Qualifications: . High School Diploma . Four or more years of office experience with functions relating to Purchasing and/or demonstrated strong aptitude at the MDC, A&R, FTS and/or Ops Associate II level. . Excellent skills in organizing, controlling, thoroughness, analysis/troubleshooting, initiative, decision-making, flexibility, personal and organization sensitivity, oral and written communication. . Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP. Other Qualifications: . Motivated individual who is detail oriented and possesses strong analytical and organizational skills and is able to exercise independent problem solving and decision making with a high degree of initiative and self coordination. .
