Job Summary: The Data Architect is the subject matter expert for how data flows from the primary source of data at Navitus through the consumption of the data. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a formal description of the data and data structures - this can include data definitions, data models, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, entity relational diagrams (ERD)s, etc. (in short metadata). The Data Architect will work with the business and development teams to help design the flow of data from the data source to the target location, with primary focus on the claims adjudication system and data warehouse databases, and will ensure the application designs meet the database standards. This role will answer questions from the business regarding the profiling of data and ensures that data methodologies align with organizational strategies. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with IT development teams and Analytics to implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing and analyzing data requirements. Design and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including versioning and governance. Provide data analyst services that facilitate an efficient and accurate data load into integrated schemas within the different databases. Develop and promote data management methodologies and standards. Maintain enterprise metadata so that it can be reported and leveraged for re-use. Develop and maintain a Metadata Repository. Have an overall view of where data is being used and assess impact of changes across systems and processes. Audit and ensure the quality and currency of metadata. Identify and document requirements for database best practices and efficiencies. Support the migration of data models between data model repositories. Define and maintain standards for data object naming and other data administration standards. Ensure that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance.
