IT Business Analyst - Strategy and Governance - (Greenville) in Appleton, Wisconsin For Sale
This position is part of the PMO, Strategy and Governance team and is responsible for assessing new project requests to ensure all new technology projects are properly vetted. Responsibilities include working with the Project Managers to prioritize the pipeline of new project requests and enhancements, leading the high level requirements definition with the business users, identifying potential solutions, and leading the process to develop a project cost estimate. The position reports to an Information Technology Director, and may work under various Project Managers, depending on the assignment. Job Duties : Maintain a prioritized project pipeline of all new project ideas along with a roadmap for assessment and potential project funding approval. Assess new project ideas to validate business case and identify associated risks. Create artifacts including current and to-be processes, use cases, high level solution design and project estimation. Analyze, interpret, and make recommendations in the form of formal proposals and / or presentations to business users and senior executives. Ensure a smooth hand-off to project implementation teams for approved projects. Participate in the post project completion audit conducted by Finance, and identify means to incorporate any audit findings in the continuous improvement of the project assessment process. Skills : Required Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience with 4+ years of experience in business analysis including hands-on system setups and configurations Experience incorporating business requirements into functional solutions Proven ability to quickly adapt and understand a diverse set of technologies Proven ability to quickly understand the business users process flow, the business users application interface, site flow, and the technical aspect of a business application. Possess the skills to understand information architecture Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a resource-constrained environment. Ability to work with both technical and business resources to gather information and make recommendations. Ability to build and maintain customer credibility with internal customers Be sought out for advice Be respected for business knowledge Manage expectations of internal customers Ability to make decisions with the appropriate level of information Knowing what questions to ask to gather information Ability to direct further analysis with specific objectives Desired Working knowledge of Oracle configurations / setups for 11i E-Business Suite including functional modules, setups, profile options, and flex-fields. Working knowledge of other business applications that support finance, HR, supply chain, operations, sales, marketing, eCommerce, analytics and curriculum.
